Aspirations Week
The week commencing Monday 15th January 2024, was The Osborne Coopeative Trust's 'Aspirations Week.'
This week is not only celebrated to expose children to a variety of jobs and careers, but to encourage discussions around their own personal qualities and skills to highlight their strengths. In turn, children are able to identify potential future jobs or carers that they are suited to.
An Introduction to Aspirations Week
At Little Thurrock Primary School, Miss Dowsett introduced Aspirations Week in assembly on Monday 15th January. The presentation can be viewed by clicking the link above.
Uniquely Me
To introduce the week, children engaged with 'Uniquely Me' lessons. You can view these lessons by clicking the link above. These lessons were designed to encourage the children to think about their skills and qualities and to identify their strengths. Children were also encouraged to think about how certain skills and qualities lend themselves to different jobs and careers.
Visitors
As you can see from the link above, we were fortunate to welcome many visitors from different jobs and careers into our school. All children - of the allocated year groups - had the opportunity to meet the guests and ask them questions linking to their role. See below for pictures from the day.
